2009 Veterans Day at Grogan Park
- November 11, 2009
Pictures included in this
dedication to our veterans include Overmountain Men SAR with
presentation of colors, Gate City High School Band, laying of
wreaths by the town of Gate City by Mayor Mark Jenkins, Regent
Peggy McClain, Carter's Ford Chapter of DAR, Bobby McConnell
(president of Overmountain Men Chapter U.S.D. 1812), Sherry Hilton
(president of SCRHA), and the American Legion Post 265. The
horse association's wreath was later placed at the Veteran's
Memorial at the Court House by Deb Gilmer and Sherry Hilton.
