Rules for park use

  1. Firearms, drugs, and alcohol are prohibited on park grounds.

  2. No profanity or fighting will be tolerated on the grounds.  Please show respect to others.

  3. Horses are to be kept under control at all times.

  4. Horses are not allowed in or around the concession stand or the announcer / secretary's booth.

Horse Park Rental

  1. Any group wishing to lease the site must present an application and detailed written request to the chairman of the horse park.  The chairman for 2009 is Eugene McClellan (Phone:  276-386-3784).

  2. Reservations will be held until a contract has been signed or 20 days before the event.

  3. Lessee will be responsible for any and all permits, insurance documents, and security arrangements.  Copies of the above will need to be filed with the Scott County Horse Association.

  4. The lessee will be responsible for all damage.  Clean up is the sole responsibility of the lessee.  Failure to clean will result in a $50 cleaning fee.

  5. A certificate of insurance must be filed with the Scott County Regional Horse Association.

  6. The use of the site is limited to events that promote agriculture, public safety, community pride, cultural awareness, and national pride.

Rates:

Nonprofit - Use of park with lights (day & night) $250.00/day
Nonprofit - Use of park without lights (day only) $150.00/day
All other renters - Flat rate per event / per 24 hour period $350.00/day
   
Building only rental - per event / per 24 hour period $100.00/day
   
Vendor fees $25.00/day or $150/season
(Season passes only apply to SCRHA events.  Events held by other organizations will require a separate rental fee.)
   
Clean up fee if not cleaned $50.00

*Any group renting the horse park must have insurance to cover the event.
